Synopsis: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Halong Bay, Hong Kong. Stopover at Beijing, Bangkok, Taipei with additional cost.
Sightseeing: "A tour of Hai Phong City's special zone and its lovely Casino", A specially arranged cruise on the spectacularly beautiful Halong Bay, famous as the Guilin of Vietnam; a performance of the uniquely Vietnamese Water Puppert show.
Meals: Meals are arranged at selected local restaurants for authentic Vietnamese food. Special meals such as seafood on boat restaurants, etc.

Hanoi - City Tour - Hoan Kiem Lake - Turtle Temple - Water Puppet Performance

After arrival, your local guide will meet you at the airport for a quick transfer to a local restaurant for lunch. Our city tour begins with Hoan Kiem Lake. Legend has it that the 15c emperor le Loi received a magic sword with which he defected foreign invaders. The sword was later returned to turtle god living in the lake. A temple was later built to worship the turtle god. Tonight, attend a performance of the unique water-puppet show. Scenes from traditional folklore and history are performed by colorful lacquered puppets while the puppet masters sit semi-submerged in water for the duration of the show.

Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - Reunification Palace - One Pillar Pagoda - Temple of Literature - Handicrafts Center - Halong Bay

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum was built in 1975, and houses the well-preserved body of Ho Chi Minh. The Reunification Palace, built in 1966, and was where the South finally fell to the North on 30 April 1975. Emperor Ly thai Tong built the One-Pillar Pagoda in gratitude to the Goddess of Mercy for a long waited male heir. Temple of Literature was first built in 1070, and was also the site of Vietnam’s first university. Precious ancient manuscripts are housed here. We then visit a traditional handicraft center before leaving for Halong Bay.

Halong Bay by boat - Thiencone Cave - Hai Phong - Do Son Casino

This morning, we take a magical cruise on Halong Bay, one of the eight natural wonders of the world. There are over 1000 limestone islands dotted around the bay. Thiencone Cave has fantastic rock formations. A seafood lunch will be served on the boat. Later, we drive to the Ha Phong city, known as the city of “red flame”. After dinner, a lucky visit to the only legal casino in Vietnam, Do Son Casino.

36th old Quarter - Quan Thanh Temple - St Josephs Cathedral - Opera House

The 36th streets of the old quarter dates back to the 15C, and many of them are named after the goods sold, such as Silk Street, Rice Street, Paper Street, etc. The Ouan Thanh Temple with its 14 treasure towers is the only one of its kind in Vietnam today. After lunch, visit the 1886 St. Josephs Cathedral, which is modeled after the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Later, a photo stops in front of the Opera House. Free time until for dinner.
